The original Round Rock Post Office, built in 1853 before the Civil War, and adjoining office building built in 1870 per the tax records. Property is on the National Register of Historic Properties, and is one of the few standing and useable structures in the region. Rich in period detail and history, but maintained to current standards. Much of the original building material and architecture remains. The Post Office has been restored to an elegant and tasteful finish.
